How it all began

RYDZ started with one man’s simple idea: a way to get around Sturgis Motorcycle Rally that was both fun and functional.

In 2021, Tony Scheuler built a one-of-a-kind electric picnic table cart for himself never intending to sell or build another.  He took it to Sturgis for the first time, simply looking for a fun way to get around the campgrounds.  But as soon as he arrived, the cart started turning heads.

Everywhere he went, people stopped to take pictures, ask for a ride, and find out where they could get one.  Some even offered to buy it on the spot one.  It was clear that he had created something special.

One evening, after a ride back from the pool at the legendary Full Throttle Saloon campground, security approached him. The venue’s owner had noticed the cart and was so impressed that he made Tony an offer to bring the cart to the main security gate each night and enjoy VIP access to every concert, front and center.  There was nothing like it, and the interest and smiles it created were undeniable.

Years later, after hearing the story so many times, Tony’s son wanted to see it for himself.  In August 2023, he joined his father at Sturgis and immediately understood the excitement.  The crowds, the offers, the reactions it was undeniable.  He knew the cart was more than just a one-off creation and encouraged Tony to take the idea further.

In early 2024, RYDZ was born.

The first step was assembling a team of seasoned manufacturing experts to take the concept from a one-off build to a scalable product.  Once the right people were in place, the team began documenting the design, putting it into engineering CAD software, and identifying future suppliers.

By the fall of 2024, the first official RYDZ demo model was built, tested, and showcased at events across the Southeast, generating buzz and proving the product’s market appeal.

Today, RYDZ has evolved from a passion project into a fully realized product offering both residential and LSV models built for adventure, fun, and unforgettable moments.
